Defender Lv 1 - Pistol + Carbine
This course will take the fundamentals of pistol and carbine weapon handling and build upon them in a tactical application. Students will practice deploying and transitioning between platforms methodically and with precision based upon their situation and environment.
The August 10th Defender Lvl will be held in Somers, MT.
This course will cover:
Equipment considerations and discussion
Malfunction clearing
Reloading
Transitioning between platforms
Moving and shooting
Cover & Concealment
Multiple targets
Positional Shooting
What you will need:
Semi-auto pistol
Carbine with sling & optic
Ammunition: 250 rounds pistol & 300 rounds carbine
Sturdy belt
Holster OWB Kydex holster
2x pistol mag carriers
Belt mounted rifle mag carrier and/or plate carrier or chest rig
3 magazines for each platform
Eye and ear protection
Appropriate range attire (no open toe shoes or low-cut shirts)
Hat recommended
Lunch & water
Pen & paper
Knee pads are optional but encouraged
Participants of this course should have a solid grasp on firearm safety and a general understanding of pistol and rifle manipulation.
